How will I know if my child is ready to move to a different class?
Your child's progress is continually tracked by their coaches and your child's coach will communicate to you when they have accomplished the skills necessary to be promoted to the next class level. Anytime after that you can contact American Allstars Business Office to make your child’s new class selection.
Do you provide progress reports?
We sure do! Progress reports are handed out in January and June. Our coaching staff documents each child's progressions the entire year. If you ever have a question about your child's progression we strongly encourage you to talk to your child's coach.
Do you do anything special for skill achievements?
Of course! When a child has consistently demonstrated a new skill their coach will send home a special award made just for them along with a ribbon. We also have the Gymnast of the Month recognition. Our coaches are constantly looking out for children who are trying their very best and also have a positive attitude. Those selected for Gymnast of the Month will receive a special certificate, a pin, have their name on our Gymnast of the Month board and their name will be posted on our web site.
Do you have a parent viewing area?
We have 3000 sq ft of viewing areas, equipped with padded chairs for parents to sit comfortably and watch their children, along with round tables for families to eat, do homework or just socialize. We also have free coffee and wireless internet.
What if my child misses a class? Can they do a make-up?
Mini Stars & all Little Hoppers may do a make-up every other month in a regularly scheduled class that isn't full. This must be scheduled in advance with the office. All boys & girls recreational gymnastics classes and tumbling classes will receive one free Open Gym every other month. Open gym time must be scheduled in advance & is contingent upon availability. If you should receive five classes during the month instead of four there will be no extra charge although it will be considered a make-up for classes missed while we are closed for holidays.
Are the instructors certified?
Yes, all of our instructors are certified thru USA Gymnastics which is the sole national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States. It gets the designation from the International Olympic Committee and the International Gymnastics Federation. USA Gymnastics sets the rules & policies that govern gymnastics in this country. Training and selecting the U.S Gymnastics Teams for the Olympics and World Championships are just two of their many responsibilities. USA Gymnastics has more than 13,000 professional & instructor members. The American Allstars Gymnastics Academy coaching staff is required to complete the USA Gymnastics Safety Certification Program.
Do I have to stay to watch my child?
No, unless your child is not able to use the restroom by themselves. If you are going to leave the facility while your child is in class please make sure the American Allstars Business Office knows you are leaving and has your cell phone number on file so we have a method to contact you in the event of an emergency.
What does my child wear to class?
For girl's gymnastics: A leotard without a skirt or tights, hair pulled up neatly, and no jewelry.
For boy's gymnastics: Gym shorts with no buttons, zippers or buckles and a fitted tucked in tee shirt.

What happens during the summer?

Our summer schedule will be posted on our web site in the spring each year.

Children who have participated in movement education activities have longer attention spans, communication skills, general problem-solving skills, and improved self-esteem.
