Cheerleading
Cheerleading is gaining great strength and popularity in Michigan and American Allstars offers classes for students 5 1/2 years to 12 years. Current and future cheerleaders will learn dances, chants, cheers, jumps & stunting. These classes are high energy and loads of fun. We require that children wear athletic shoes with a flat sole; No Heelys Roller Shoes please.

This class is for the beginning cheerleader ages 5 1/2 years and older. Cheerleaders will focus on proper technique for jumps. Appropriate conditioning and drills will be stressed throughout to strengthen jump execution. Stunting will emphasize safety with correct spotting technique and body positioning through drills and beginning level stunts such as thigh stands, shoulder sits, pony sits, and table tops. Cheerleaders will focus on strong motions and will learn a precision drill as well as a variety of short chants, cheers, and a dance.

This class is for the intermediate cheerleader. A variety of intermediate stunts such as elevators, shoulder stands, v-sits, and reloads will be taught as well as loading in & dismounting from these stunts. Emphasis will be placed on safety through proper progressions, drills and conditioning. Jumps will be taught with correct technique and form. Chants, cheers, & a dance will focus on strong motions and will be worked on and reviewed weekly. If you are looking to advance in the sport of cheerleading, this class is for you! Please note that in order to be placed in this class you must be promoted from Twinkles or have an evaluation.
